Police: 35-year-old man beat 77-year-old wife
A South Florida man was arrested after beating his elderly wife, police said.
Boynton Beach Police said they arrested Felipe Altamirano, 35, at his home on Quantum Lakes Drive on Tuesday night.
Officers said the 77-year-old alleged victim told them she had locked herself in her bedroom after Altamirano hit her and that he was trying to get through the window.
Officers said the victim was shaking and showed bruising on both of her arms.
She claimed Altamirano had been drinking for the last couple days and had become aggressive. She claimed Altamirano attacked her, pulled her hair and hit her several times on the arms.
When officers questioned Altamirano, they said he claimed the victim was being "a bitch" and that he pulled her hair but did not hit her.
Altamirano was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail and charged with aggravated battery on a person 65 years of age or older. A judge set his bond at $2,000.
